The staff is sooo friendly, they read the wishes from your eyes!
The rooms are very small and a little used.
Swimming pool, location in the park
Bathroom was in need of renovation, heating control defective.
Very good breakfast. Very beautiful, huge, well-kept park with old trees and pond.
Equipment rather simple, but okay.
The hotel is located next to a historic mansion (Lydiard House) in a large park. Windmill Hill Business Park and the centre of Swindon are only a few minutes' drive away. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast and bar are good. The staff is friendly and helpful.
That was one of the best hotels anywhere in the world: excellent location, helpful staff. Lots of places to eat close by, including Brookhouse Farm.
Property is in parkland.
Very friendly staff, good English breakfast. It also offers warm, good tasting snacks and rich drinks in the evening. The location of the accommodation in the Lydiard House Conference Center is quiet and next to the Lydiard House and Park is exceptionally beautiful. Many interesting places to visit can be reached quickly as the nearest motorway exit of the M4 is only a few miles away (e.g. Cotswolds, Oxford, salisbury, Avebury, Stonehenge, Bristol.)
The rooms look a bit worn and in need of renovation.
Being situated in the countryside outside Swindon makes for a pleasant spot.
Have stayed at this hotel on previous trips and will do so again.
My room looked just a little "tired".
What I didn't like was that I couldn't get the shower to work.It seemed so confusing. In the end I had to use the bath. But apart from that, good hotel.
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the staff and facilities were excellent.
The staff were fantastic and went out of their way to be helpful. I missed dinner on the evening of my stay and the bar staff and chef put something together for me.
There wasn't always someone on reception so I had to wait for quite a while to check in and out.
Lovely quiet location in countryside, excellent value for money and good quality food
Nothing really - its not like a traditional hotel as its a conference centre but for what I wanted it for it was brilliant good value. Gym and swimming pool are ok not a lot of gym equipment and the room was very hot but Ok for one night stay.
friendly, efficient staff; swimming pool; excellent breakfast; quiet location in lovely surroundings but very convenient for Swindon; comfortable and well equipped room.
The Conference Centre is situated in the middle of a large park, complete with wildlife, next to the Church (no bells that we heard), so very quiet and relaxing. It also had a very nice swimming pool. Breakfast was cooked to order which meant that everything was hot and had not been waiting around.
